Geena Ciambelli, a 12th grade student at Revere High School, won the national Above the Influence, Made by Me Contest! Geena submitted a one minute video pitch for an Above the Influence commercial and won by getting the most votes on Facebook. As the winner, she will be flown to New York to work with a professional team to create the next Above the Influence commercial based on her idea. The commercial will air nationally in October. We have always known that Revere students are fantastic! Congratulations Geena!

Above the Influence is the national campaign of the Office of National Drug Control Policy.  The goal of the campaign is the help teens standup and be aware of negative influences so they are better prepared when they are pressured to use drugs, pill, and alcohol. The Revere CARES coalition adapted the Above the Influence campaign forReverestudents and has been running related campaign activities for the past two years in the middle schools and high school.
