Education in Community Action
The Education in Community Action (ECA) is the Revere CARES summer internship program that is available to participants of the service learning academic programs. Students who participate in any of the service learning programs are automatically eligible to receive a summer internship that focuses in the fields of health, education or arts. Utilizing the knowledge acquired during the academic year, students provide an invaluable service to the community while at the same time receiving real work and life experiences. Education in Community Action (ECA) 101
ECA 101 is a weekly seminar that student interns participate in as part of the summer internship requirement. The 3-hour sessions serve to enhance students’ experience at their work site by providing them with relevant leadership building and work skill training. The seminars are presented in collaboration with Career Source, a career resource center that provides employment services to all types of businesses and job seekers at all professional levels. During the series, students discuss following topics such as:

Being a leader at school, in the community and
My contributions at the workplace
Workplace etiquette
Child labor laws
Financial literacy
Resume writing
